The series consists of minutes of the Atlanta Urban League Board of Directors' deliberations from 1946-1977. Records prior to 1946 were either not kept or were lost, and minutes from some years are missing. Over the years members of the Board have included Austin T. Walden, George Mitchell, Jesse B. Blayton, Grace Towns Hamilton, Walter and Eliza Paschall, Rufus Clement, and Jacob R. Henderson. Some of the topics of discussion include establishment of a hospital for African Americans, housing needs, employment programs, and community organization activities.
